  • Identify metrics and other information needed in each visual workplace area
  • Identify relevant procedures and standards
  • Identify directions required in workplace
  • Determine controls required in the workplace
  • Draft a statement of needs for the workplace
       
Element: Determine possible locations of visual devices
  • Analyse sight lines for personnel in the workplace
  • Identify primary and secondary locations for possible visual devices
  • Identify constraints on deploying visual devices and where feasible take action to address constraints
       
Element: Develop visual devices
  • Liaise with personnel to determine possible visual displays and devices for items on statement of needs
  • Try out visual displays and devices in workplace and evaluate with input from personnel
  • Select appropriate display types for items on statement of needs
  • Allocate visual devices to appropriate locations

Assessment Tasks
